Saumya (aka Shoumo) Ganguly started of Obligent Consulting in 2015. It is a firm that works with business owners to create strong foundations that support lasting business growth. But that is not where the story begins. The story of Obligent Consulting begins in '84 when Shoumo entered the business environment with a financial audit job. He moved to in '91 when he joined PriceWaterhouse. Solving business problems for client was the incentive for a long time. Then it became all about the people in need of the solutions. But somewhere along the path it ceased to be about all of that. The universe gave him a nudge when a physician prescribed a change in job. It was time to rediscover his purpose, his Ikigai. So Shoumo traded his predictable corporate life for a vision. In it all small businesses prosper, startups succeed and social enterprises create an impact. His mission is to create foundations that help businesses thrive rather than survive. He carries with him a perspective acquired over years of solving business problems for global brand clients of PwC, IBM Business Consulting and Cognizant. Shoumo has brought all of it together into Obligent Consulting. Through his firm, he helps business owners with startup, growth & marketing strategies. He is a business counselor at the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Rutgers. Additionally, Shoumo has mentored future entrepreneurs at a graduate entrepreneurship program at Rutgers. He considers it to be an honor to serve on the Board of Directors at the Woodbridge Metro Chamber of Commerce. It is his privilege to have the trust of merchants in Woodbridge Downtown and the support of the Woodbridge Public Library. Shoumo enjoys gathering business people from the Alignable Alliance of Middlesex County. He conducts workshops and speaks at seminars for the small business & startup communities. Shoumo looks forward to meeting you at an event or a gathering.
